CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : CONCORD : Mayor Accused of Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment allegations have been brought against Mayor Byron Campbell, who denied any wrongdoing, and the City Council is poised to consider hiring a special investigator to look into the matter. City officials said a formal complaint was made against Campbell by a former city employee. A special meeting of the five-member council will be held to discuss the case and consider whether a special investigator should be hired, said city spokesman Bruce Lewis.
