Chase Plans More Job Cuts: Chase Manhattan Corp., which has been aggressively reducing staff, expects to cut even more jobs, its chief financial officer said. “We don’t see any dramatic growth in revenues coming down the road with the economy what it is. That is what has caused us to take another look at our expense base,” Michael Esposito said at a meeting with analysts. He gave no further details of the reductions. Since June 30, 1990, Chase has cut 6,060 jobs but added 1,135 more when it bought several Connecticut banks, bringing its net work force reduction to 4,935.
