Woman Missing 3 Years Found Dead in Her Bed
NORWALK, Conn. — A real estate agent who entered a condominium to prepare it for sale found the decomposed remains of a woman reported missing nearly three years ago.
The remains of Susan Krampitz Carter were found on her bed in the basement apartment, police said.
Carter’s family reported her missing in January, 1989, after finding her door padlocked, the family’s lawyer said. He said the family had been led to believe that someone had looked for her inside the condominium.
Police said an autopsy Tuesday indicated that Carter, 41 when she was reported missing, died of natural causes. She had emphysema and other ailments.
