I am utterly annoyed with AMC Theatres’ decision to show 10-minute-long, 3-month-old CNN newsreels before its feature attractions (Film Clips, Oct. 20).

As a frequent moviegoer who enjoys AMC’s Burbank, Century City and Santa Monica theaters, I am seriously thinking of boycotting the chain. What makes AMC think we want to pay $7.50 to watch old news stories? What’s next--weather reports and sports scores from six months ago?

Give us something we wouldn’t see by staying home in front of the TV. Or we may just do that.
