PREP NOTES
Karissa Meith of Irvine High School has made an oral commitment to play volleyball at Oregon next season, her club coach, Charlie Brande, said Thursday.
Meith, a 6-foot-1 middle blocker, chose Oregon over Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara. Meith was an all-South Coast League selection last season.
