Titan Basketball Scrimmage Tonight
FULLERTON — The Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball team, which returns three starters and three other lettermen, will play its annual Blue-Orange scrimmage at 7:30 tonight in Titan Gym. Admission is free.
Guard Joe Small, who was the Big West Conference’s second-leading scorer at 21.8 points per game in 1990-91, is back for his senior season, as is forward Agee Ward, who averaged 12.6 points and 8.1 rebounds. The other returning starter is junior swingman Bruce Bowen.
Aaron Sunderland, a transfer from Connors State College in Oklahoma, will be the team’s new point guard, and Kim Kemp, a 6-foot-8 transfer from San Jose City College, will likely start at center.
The Titans appear to be deep in the backcourt, with reserve guards Greg Vernon and Dijon Bernard, both capable outside shooters, and point guard Brian Wood. Bernard played at Ventura College and Wood at San Jose City College.
