The Meter Is Running

In your article about Eugene Landy’s financial arrangements with Brian Wilson (Oct. 13), the therapist states that he was paid $35,000 a month for his intensive 24-hour therapy from early 1983 to 1986. Then, in 1984, he asked for a raise because Wilson demanded an increased amount of Landy’s time.

And I thought that only lawyers could bill on an hourly basis for more than 24 hours a day. Does this make Landy an honorary shyster?
