Getting A Jump On The Marathon

Runners in today’s Orange County Marathon will cover 26.2 miles, beginning in Anaheim and snaking through Orange, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa and Tustin before finishing in Irvine. They will pass several local landmarks along the route.

Drivers should expect long delays at intersections along the marathon’s path, and should consider alternative ways of getting to where they need to go. ‘No Parking’ signs were posted along the race route on Saturday, but nearly all streets should be back to normal by noon today.

The marathon begins at 7 a.m. at Anaheim Stadium with a wheelchair race, followed minutes later by the in-line skating competition. The runners begin at the stadium at 8 a.m.
