Shallow Portrayal of Jefferson High

I’m beginning to get a little annoyed at some comments made by students attending schools on the Westside about schools in South-Central L.A. This is my third year attending Jefferson High and I have not felt unsafe or scared to to come to school.

I disagree with the quotation in the story saying that everyone at Beverly Hills High is “ready with pencils in hand. People know what they’re here for: to learn.”

My interpretation of this is that everyone attending Jefferson comes only to waste time and fight. I strongly suggest that when one of your reporters writes another article like this, they should take opinions from both sides, not only from the Westside school students.
