Body Found With Bullet Wounds
YORBA LINDA — The body of an unidentified, middle-aged man who was shot at least twice was discovered Sunday in an orange grove.
Police arrived at the scene about 3:30 p.m. after a caller reported the location of the body in an orange grove north of Bastanchury Road and west of Lakeview Avenue.
They said said the identity of the victim was unknown. He was described only as a Latino between the ages of 45 and 50.
Police Sgt. Ed McDonald said the victim apparently died near the area where he was found. He also said residents near the orange grove reported hearing noises that sounded like gunshots early Sunday morning but did not notify authorities until after the body was recovered.
