Aaron Spelling has resigned as chairman and chief executive of his namesake company, Spelling Entertainment, and been named chairman and chief executive of the company’s production subsidiaries. Cincinnati investor Carl H. Lindner has been appointed chairman, and his son, S. Craig Lindner, has been named chief executive. Both Lindners are officers and directors of Charter Co., the Lindner-controlled company that owns about 85% of Spelling Entertainment.
