In Division 5-A girls’ volleyball:

University 3, Dana Hills 0--Shelby Samuelsen had 19 kills and Holiday Molway added 12 for host University (10-8), which advances to play Laguna Beach (18-2) Thursday. Dana Hills finished 6-10.

In Division 4-A girls’ tennis:

Irvine 11, University 7--Traci Drayer and Jinna Uh swept at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2, for host Irvine (12-4) in a wild-card match. Jeannette Fylpaa swept at No. 1 singles for University, 6-3, 6-0, 6-3. Irvine will play at Fountain Valley Thursday.

In Division 3-A girls’ volleyball:

Fullerton 3, Pacifica 1--Marie Pritchett had 22 kills and Marinela Misa had seven aces for visiting Fullerton (12-7), which won the wild-card match, 15-9, 14-16, 15-3, 15-1. Fullerton will play Thursday at Temple City.

In the Olympic League girls’ tennis individual finals:

Wright Advances--Ayala’s Connie Burggraf defeated Lori Wright of Orange Lutheran, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, for the Olympic League singles championship Tuesday. Burggraf and Wright, freshmen whose only losses this season in the league were to each other, both advanced to the Southern Section individual tennis playoffs Nov. 23 at Redondo Beach High School.
