Even After the Shock, It’s Hard to Get Used to Absence of Magic
You have done an excellent job of covering the Magic Johnson story. I hope that not too many people will criticize him for having sex outside of marriage. I will not.
His contributions to basketball and sports are phenomenal. His contribution to AIDS education and awareness will be even larger. He did more in 36 hours than everybody else, collectively, has done in a decade. Magic’s courage and honesty are tremendous.
My respect and admiration for Magic are higher than ever. He has saved thousands of lives. He cannot be compared to Dr. Salk, but maybe he has done even more.
