Orange Earns Share of Title With 33-0 Victory Over Santa Ana Valley
SANTA ANA — Mike Knorr’s 51-yard field goal provided the game’s most exciting moment as Orange beat Santa Ana Valley, 33-0, at the Santa Ana Bowl Friday night.
Orange was leading 21-0, when Knorr kicked the field goal late in the third quarter.
The victory pushed Orange (6-3-1, 4-1) into a three-way tie with El Modena and Villa Park for the Century League championship. Orange will advance to the Southern Section Division III playoffs as the league’s No. 1 entry as the result of a coin toss.
Orange took the lead early in the second quarter when Aaron Tavernier scored on a seven-yard reception. Jaime Worthem set up the play when he rushed for 11 yards in five carries on the drive.
Quarterback Noah Kimbwala connected on a 12-yard pass to Jason Evers for the second touchdown.
Halfway through the third quarter, Worthem finally scored himself on a six-yard run he helped set up.

The Falcons (0-10, 0-5) attempted in vain to break through Orange’s defense as Kevin Marks rushed for 85 yards in 17 carries.
