Censorship, Good Taste and the Big 3 Networks

Permit another view regarding what should or should not hit the boob tube, in response to those who think they should tell us what should be on the television menu.

I am speaking, among other things, of the numerous fundamentalist evangelists who attempt to win the souls of the little people who are seeking entertainment, along with the programs that treat war as a Boy or Girl Scout outing and inculcate in young people the idea that killing is a form of patriotism. That programming truly is obscene.

I can switch the dial when it comes to an annoying program, and so can everyone else. If those who “know” what’s “best” will let the viewer make his or her own choice, I believe that the surviving TV programs will mirror what really is best for America and the sponsors.
