Stanton, who calls himself the “Sixth Doobie,” has an answer. . . . “Why should I grow up?” says Stanton, who is 54, silver-haired and treasures a photograph of himself taken on stage with the Doobie Brothers. “Maturity means broadening your horizons, but there’s room for keeping the things that are near and dear to your heart.”
