ORGANIZE LABOR? It is, says the Laborers International Union, the largest union campaign in 20 years in Orange County. The target: an ITT Cannon plant in Santa Ana, where, on Monday afternoon, 75 people from other unions waved placards and chanted “Union . . . Yes!” as workers changed shifts. The Nov. 27 election includes 1,200 workers--mostly Latino women. The union and the company, which makes electronic connectors, both say they’ll win.
