Troy Outfielder Coon Signs With Titans
FULLERTON — Brent Coon, an outfielder at Troy High School, has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Cal State Fullerton, according to Troy Coach Dane Ilertsen.
Coon, a first-team All-Freeway League selection as a sophomore and junior, batted .362 last season with 15 stolen bases. He represented the county in the Area Code all-star games last summer in Fresno.
Coon made recruiting trips to Arizona State and Oklahoma before signing with Fullerton. He joins former Troy standout Steve Friedrich at Cal State Fullerton and is the sixth Troy graduate to sign with the Titans.
