Peninsula Girls’ Tennis Team Reaches 4-A Division Final
The Peninsula High girls’ tennis team continued its march toward a Southern Section 4-A Division championship with a 16-2 semifinal victory over Dana Hills Thursday.
The top-seeded Panthers (22-0) swept all nine doubles sets. Peninsula’s No. 1 singles player, Nicole London, won her three singles sets. Nicole Elliott avoided a shutout for the fourth-seeded Dolphins (17-4) with two 6-2 victories.
Peninsula will meet second-seeded Santa Barbara in Tuesday’s final at Claremont Tennis Club. The Dons defeated Capistrano Valley, 11-7, in Thursday’s other semifinal.
