UCLA tailback Kevin Williams needs 42 yards to have a 1,000-yard rushing season. He has gained 958 yards and is ranked second in the Pacific 10 behind California’s Russell White, who has gained 1,088 yards. However, Williams’ average of 6.5 yards a carry is by far the best among conference runners.
