Dotson, the state single-season rushing record holder, gained 186 yards in 20 carries before reinjuring his left hamstring on a 51-yard run late in the second quarter.

Dotson came back to start the second half but only carried twice to finish with 190 yards in 22 carries and add to his season total of 3,523 yards and state career-record of 7,246 yards.

Dotson scored two touchdowns, which gave him 46 this season, and Valley View led, 14-7. But after his 51-yard rush, Booker took over.

With West Torrance hanging tough behind two touchdowns by Leo Galvin, Booker scored on a nine-yard run and set up a touchdown run by David Mathis with a 63-yard gain to give Valley View a 28-14 lead.

Mathis scored again on a 35-yard run and Eric Swiger scored from three yards to close the scoring for the Eagles.
