We’re Off to See the Picket: Actors’ Equity said Monday it will picket the upcoming California Music Theatre production of “The Wizard of Oz” Dec. 4-22 at the Raymond Theatre in Pasadena. Union officials said CMT asked to do the show without its usual union contract, citing fiscal difficulties. CMT officials could not be reached for comment. Equity also will ask other actors’ unions to forbid their members from appearing in the production. The announced lead, Adrienne Stiefel, is a member of two of those unions, the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
