El Camino Acquires Assets of Software Firm
El Camino Resources Ltd. in Northridge said it acquired certain assets of Darcor, a New Orleans-based distributor of software for IBM computers. The price was not disclosed.
El Camino, a privately held concern that leases and resells computers built by International Business Machines Corp. and Digital Equipment Corp., said the Darcor software includes programs used by lumber and building-materials companies, as well as for industrial warehouse management systems.
