Ann Parry; Retired Real Estate Broker
Ann Parry, a San Fernando Valley real estate broker for 31 years, has died at a North Hollywood hospital. She was 75.
A Northridge resident, Mrs. Parry died Friday of cancer, said her son, Darryl Parry of Chatsworth.
Born in Greensburg, Pa., she came to California in 1947 and settled in the San Fernando Valley. She began working as a real estate agent in 1949 and in 1955 opened Ann Parry Real Estate Inc. in Tarzana. She retired in 1980, when the office was moved to Burbank.
Mrs. Parry was a member of the National Assn. of Real Estate Brokers and the San Fernando Valley Board of Realtors.
In addition to her son Darryl, Mrs. Parry is survived by her son Douglas Parry of Northridge; daughters Pat Rand of Burbank and Joyce Parry of Northridge; brother Abe Liebman of Pittsburgh, Pa.; sisters Marge Sheffler of North Hollywood and Faye Wagner of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Nicholas Parry, died in 1980.
A funeral was held Sunday, with burial at Eden Memorial Park, Mission Hills. Glasband-Willen Mortuary in North Hollywood handled the arrangements.
Donations can be made in Mrs. Parry’s name to the American Cancer Society.
