Los Alamitos, Rosary Meet for Tennis Title
Empire League champion Los Alamitos and Angelus League winner Rosary, the only two county teams remaining in the Southern Section girls’ tennis playoffs, meet for the Division 2-A championship at 10 a.m. today at the Claremont Tennis Club in Claremont.
Top-seeded Los Alamitos (22-0) advanced to the finals for the second consecutive year by beating Mater Dei, 11-7, in the semifinals Thursday. Second-seeded Rosary (15-3-1) reached the championship match with a 15-3 victory over Sunny Hills.
Sunny Hills beat Los Alamitos, 12-6, in last year’s final.
