The Houston Rockets signed veteran free-agent guard Gerald Henderson, filling a vacant roster spot created by the illness of center Hakeem Olajuwon.
Olajuwon, 28, was released from a Houston hospital after spending four days undergoing tests for an irregular heartbeat. Doctors said he had atrial fibrillation but could begin working out as early as next Monday.
The Rockets placed Olajuwon on the injured reserve list Saturday, and he can return to action Dec. 5 against Atlanta if he gets medical clearance.
