The Minnesota Timberwolves, off to a 2-9 start, traded 6-foot-6 forward Tyrone Corbin to the Utah Jazz for 6-11 forward Thurl Bailey and a second-round draft choice in 1992.

Corbin, who will turn 29 next month, has been unhappy in Minnesota this season. He staged a one-day holdout in training camp because he wants more money and expressed displeasure at being taken out of the starting lineup three games ago.

Bailey, 30, has eight-year NBA averages of 14.7 points and 5.7 rebounds and hasn’t sat out a game in four-plus seasons.
