The Green Bay Packers named Ron Wolf, who worked 24 years with the Raiders, as their executive vice president and general manager. Wolf, 52, had been in his second season as director of player personnel with the New York Jets.

Eric Dickerson was back on the practice field for the first time after a three-week absence, but Indianapolis Coach Rick Venturi said Dickerson would not be as dominant in the Colts’ offense. Dickerson had no comment.
