HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL GIRLS’ STATE FINALS : Five Division Titles to Be Decided
Volleyball championships will be decided in five divisions Saturday at the 14th annual State high school girls’ tournament at Cal State Fullerton.
In Division I, El Toro (21-4) takes on Lakewood St. Joseph (20-1) at 7 p.m.
In Division II, La Habra (24-3), playing for its third consecutive State title, meets San Jose Leland (26-4) at 5 p.m. La Habra, led by 6-foot-5 outside hitter Zrinka Kristich, takes a 20-match winning streak into the match.
Los Angeles Marymount (21-6) and Livermore Granada (35-2) play at 3 p.m. in the Division III title match. Both teams are making their first trip to the finals.
In Division IV, Long Beach St. Anthony (23-3) faces Grass Valley Bear River (30-3) at 11 a.m. Both teams were seeded No. 1 in their respective regions.
The Division V match pits Capistrano Valley Christian (19-2) against Atherton Sacred Hart Prep (23-6) at 9 a.m.
