Vehicle Fees
When I went to register my out-of-state vehicle, I was appalled at the $300 fee in addition to the $297 for registration that was required because my pickup does not meet California EPA requirements. My truck passed the smog-check test and the percentages of pollutants are nowhere near the maximum allowed percentages. I am sure there are California vehicles emitting more pollutants than my vehicle. Where is the $300 going to? This fee didn’t alter my exhaust system. I think it’s a rip-off.
The government tries to squeeze every cent possible out of its people. I believe this government is trying to make it impossible for people to survive. Every time honest citizens try to follow the law, the government tends to work against them. They always want “big money,” but they don’t provide “big money” jobs.
