BEWITCHING NAME: A small, new Santa Ana advertising and design firm calls itself McMahon & Tate--even though there’s no McMahon and no Tate. The name comes from the popular 1960s TV show “Bewitched,” still seen in reruns, in which the husband, Darrin Stephens, worked for ad agency McMann & Tate. Real-life agency President Craig Thomas said he chose a name that would ring a bell, with the minor spelling change for legal protection. . . . “A lot of people say they’ve heard of us, but they can’t quite place us,” Thomas said. “They think we’re a huge agency.”
