Tony Macias has been appointed director of development for the UC Irvine School of Engineering. He succeeds Cliff Ochser, who recently joined the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Macias was formerly vice president for development at KCET-TV Channel 28 in Los Angeles, where he oversaw fund raising, program and production underwriting. He has also held positions with Cal State Fullerton and Stanford University.
