IBM Japan Cutting Directors’ Salaries: The Japanese arm of International Business Machines Corp. also decided to freeze executives’ salaries in response to poor business results, a company spokesman said. The company slashed the salary of the president by 10%, executive directors by 8% and directors by 5%, spokesman Tadashi Okamura said. Thirty-three directors were affected.
