Pop Album Chart : A Triple Threat From Garth Brooks
With his unprecedented takeover, Garth Brooks is big news again on the Billboard pop album chart. His “Ropin’ the Wind” album moved back to the top, trailed by “No Fences” (No. 3). The way his first album, “Garth Brooks,” is moving the up chart from No. 23 to No. 13, he’ll have three Top 10 albums next week. His latest sales surge is largely due to his recent TV special, which obviously boosted interest in his albums. The hot, rap-filled “Juice” soundtrack continues its rise, jumping from No. 22 to No. 18.
On the pop singles chart, “I’m Too Sexy,” the huge dance hit by the British trio Right Said Fred, took a leap from No. 6 to the top.
* The “Rush” soundtrack featuring Eric Clapton is one of the fastest-rising new albums at No. 25 in its second week on the chart.
