George Bethune, an outside linebacker who spent 1989 and 1990 with the Rams, was taken by the Sacramento Surge as the first pick in the World League of American Football’s second draft. Babe Laufenberg, who last played for the Dallas Cowboys in 1990, was the second pick. Laufenberg was taken by the expansion Ohio Glory.
