PLACENTIA — Three armed robbers burst into a Placentia pawn shop Wednesday morning, tied up the owner and three customers and then grabbed several guns and jewelry before fleeing, police said.
During the robbery, one gunman jumped over the counter and tackled Blossom Torres, the 63-year-old owner and clerk of Butch’s Jewelry and Loan, binding her mouth with tape and holding her on the floor.
Meanwhile a second man herded three customers into a back room, said spokeswoman Corinne Loomis.
The owners and customers were tied up and ordered to stay on the floor during the 10:20 a.m. robbery, police said.
A third robber took several guns and pieces of jewelry from the shop at 608 W. Chapman Ave. before the three fled, Loomis said.
There were no reported injuries, investigators said.
No one was in custody in connection with the robbery late Wednesday night, police said.
