POMONA : Police Fear Woman Was Kidnaped From Her Home
Police said Wednesday that they fear that a Pomona woman who was accompanied by two men when she left her ransacked apartment and left her two young children behind might have been kidnaped.
“Words in Spanish were scribbled with lipstick on a wall in the apartment,” said Pomona Police Sgt. Jack McElwee. “They are obviously a threat, possibly directed at the husband, and, roughly translated, mean ‘Be careful, or you will die.’ ” Police circulated flyers in the neighborhood in hopes of getting help in finding Maria Beltran-Perez.
Beltran-Perez’s husband arrived at their home in the 800 block of South Buena Vista Avenue about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to find his 1- and 3-year-old daughters in the care of a neighbor, Sgt. Kevin Rogan said.
