Superior Industries Gets 1st Contract From Nissan
Superior Industries International Inc., a Van Nuys-based maker of automotive wheels, said it received its first contract from Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. of Japan to supply the company with cast aluminum wheels.
The contract’s value was not disclosed. Superior said the wheels would be made at its Van Nuys plant for an unspecified Nissan vehicle in the 1994 model year.
Nissan becomes the fifth Japanese car maker to use wheels produced by Superior, which also is a major supplier to the U. S. auto makers.
