Los Feliz : Medical Waste Case Charges
The Los Angeles city attorney’s office has filed criminal charges against the owner of a Los Feliz house where medical waste was found buried in the front and rear yards.
Librada Delmundo, 60, a Hollywood dentist who operated a medical laboratory in the mid-1980s out of a duplex at 1402-1404 N. Alexandria Ave., was charged Monday with three misdemeanor violations of the state’s Medical Waste Management Act. Arraignment is scheduled for March 30 in Los Angeles Municipal Court.
Delmundo, who operated the former World Diagnostic Laboratory Inc., could face a fine of up to $2,000 and one year in jail under one misdemeanor charge, plus $1,000 and six months in jail under each of two lesser charges.
