CULTURE WATCH : Cowgirls Never Looked So Kinky
W ow was the word most often heard at Italian designer Gianni Versace’s “Miss S & M” Western-themed show that closed the Italian fashion week in Milan.
The country’s top designers presented their fall ’92 collections through Wednesday. And Versace’s kinky cowgirl clothes ended the week with a kick.
His black leather harness tops, fringed leather jeans, high-heeled, jewel-studded cowboy boots and gold chain belts left the audience breathless.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell, who also moonlights as a pop singer, wore one of his black fringed outfits while dancing and singing at a post-show disco-rap party.
These clothes certainly are not for the cowgirl next door.
