From Staff and Wire Reports
The World League of American Football, a hit in Europe but a flop in North America when it made its debut last spring, will open its second season this weekend.
In today’s openers, the Barcelona Dragons will play host to the Frankfurt Galaxy, and the Birmingham Fire will be at the Sacramento Surge. Sunday, the London Monarchs will be at home to New York-New Jersey, Ohio will be at Orlando and Montreal at San Antonio. The Ohio Glory is a new team, replacing the Raleigh-Durham Seahawks of last season.
