Glendora : Water Charge Opposed
The City Council went on record Tuesday opposing a proposed Metropolitan Water District annual service charge of $5 per acre or per parcel of land.
According to the MWD, the increase is needed for water recycling and conservation programs.
Hearings on it are scheduled Monday in Riverside, Tuesday in Paramount, April 2 in Fullerton, April 6 in North Hollywood and April 7 in Escondido.
Mayor Larry Glenn said he was angry because none of the public hearings were scheduled in the San Gabriel Valley. Also, he complained about the small type on the postcard the water district used to notify residents of hearings.
