Stanford Wins NCAA Swim Title

INDIANAPOLIS —
Stanford’s Jeff Rouse set his fifth American record of the meet, winning the 200-yard backstroke in 1:40.64, and the Cardinal scored the most points ever while winning the team title at the NCAA men’s swimming and diving championships Saturday.
Stanford had 632 points to 356 for Texas. UCLA was third with 310 points. The previous high was 506 points, set by Texas in 1990.
