Denver-based cable TV giant Telecommunications Inc. said John C. Malone has had his rolling five-year contract renewed another year. At the same time, the company said it created an office of the chief executive to be comprised of longtime TCI executives Malone, J. C. Sparkman, Donne F. Fisher and Fred A. Vierra. Sparkman will oversee domestic cable operations, Fisher finance and Vierra programming and international operations. In addition, Brenden R. Clouston, senior vice president, has been promoted to chief operating officer.
