Shooting Victims Thought Navy Men
San Diego police were investigating an apparent double homicide Tuesday night in the 4800 block of Lantana Drive in the City Heights area, police said.
A neighbor, who asked not to be identified, said the two victims were apparently Navy men who had been shot. The slayings appear to have occurred sometime between Monday night and Tuesday afternoon, when the bodies were discovered and police were called, the neighbor said.
Another neighbor said most of the apartments in the small building are rented to servicemen. Police at the scene said they are looking for a red Jeep that may have belonged to one of the victims, the neighbor said.
