A Question of Human Values
In your letters published March 23, a Tujunga resident expounded her narrow view as to how Studio City should function regarding the importation of 20 cats from Brooklyn.
Studio City presented a petition to the zoning administrator that contained almost 50 signatures, and it was completely ignored. The zoning administrator admitted he had never come across a matter of this kind before, but immediately rendered a decision in favor of importing the cats. He didn’t have the judgment to discuss the matter with his peers before rendering a decision.
Something stinks. California already has enough cats, which we are unable to comfortably support.
The zoning administrator acceded to the folly of one individual in deference to the community.
