Two men were stabbed outside a movie theater in El Cajon on Saturday night for no apparent reason and by a man neither of them claimed to know, police said.

The attack occurred about 10:47 p.m. at the Krikorian Premiere Theatres complex in the 300 block of North Magnolia Avenue, where the assailant walked up to a man waiting in line and began arguing with him heatedly, police said.

The first victim, Robert Lee Wicker Jr., 24, stood his ground, whereupon the attacker pulled a knife from his pocket and “started slashing at him, inflicting wounds in the shoulder and arms,” said an El Cajon police spokeswoman.

The second victim, Mike Majewski, 20, pulled up in front of the theater, and, as he exited his car, was attacked by the assailant for no apparent reason, the spokeswoman said. Majewski was stabbed in the arm, shoulder and back.

After attacking Majewski, the man ran to a two-door, white Plymouth Sundance sedan, driven by a Latino female, 17 to 18 years old, and they drove away, police said.

Police are continuing to search for a clean-shaven Latino man thought to be 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 and weighing about 200 pounds, with short black hair.
