VENTURA : Gunman Holds Up Bank and Escapes
A lone gunman held up a Ventura bank Tuesday morning and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.
The robbery occurred just before noon, when a man entered a branch of Household Bank in the 3300 block of Telegraph Road, presented a demand note to a teller and displayed a handgun in his waistband, Ventura Police Sgt. Larry White said. The suspect threatened the teller and other employees before fleeing , White said.
