Arcadia : City Clerk’s Pay Hiked 7.7%
The city clerk will receive an annual 7.7% pay hike for the next four years.
The City Council approved the proposal on a 4-1 vote. Councilman George W. Fasching abstained, saying the increase should have been higher.
Effective April 21, the city clerk will make $44,880 a year, up from $41,676.
The City Charter stipulates that the clerk’s salary must be set every four years before a municipal election is held for the post.
City Clerk June D. Alford is being challenged by Lisa Kim Tomchuk in Tuesday’s election.
