LEAVING THE CLUB: Sir Eldon Griffiths, president of the Orange County World Affairs Council, will finally stop commuting between here and his native England. He’s retiring after 28 years in the House of Commons. But he remains interested in today’s British elections and predicts his Conservative Party will hold on against a strong Labor Party drive. “I’ll miss it,” he says of Parliament. “You don’t leave the best club in the world without mixed feelings.”
